A Remnant

 A Remnant

Even when all looks dire

When it seems the whole nation has fallen away

God has preserved a remnant

A remnant!

There will always be some whose hearts are the Lords

Though the world falls

Kingdoms crumble

Nations are nullified

Peoples perish

God has preserved a remnant

A remnant that will remain

...but only a remnant

"Oh Lord, why not more?

Call out from the mouth of the dragon

From the mouth of hell and death and doom

As you did with Lazarus so many years ago

Call out those who are dead in spirit

Call them out and arise them

Give them new life

A life worth living!

Why not more oh Lord?

But who am I to judge your righteous word.

You are so holy, just, and merciful.

You have a plan that will happen

And you know each person's mind

Your will be done

Yahweh
