I Have No Excuse

No Excuse

I have no excuse to hide away at home
I have no excuse to say nothing,
I have no good reason to exempt me from anything
I have no excuse to hide myself from duty

I have been chosen, predestined for this.
In any case, I only have reason to do.
I have been called, I have been saved.
Saved for the purpose of spreading the safety.

I have no excuse to mope,
Yet I have no reason to worry:
I have the Lord at my back,
And I have the spirit by my side.

I have been equipped for a purpose,
And I can't let my tools rust unused;
I haven't been exempted but chosen,
And I have a calling to pursue.

I have no excuse, but neither do you.
You haven't been excused either,
You have been called to a purpose,
and you can't let that purpose fade away.

You were given gifts and tools,
and not just for your own entertainment,
You haven't been excused you've been called.
Will you answer, or fail your task.
