Veracity vs. Scrupulosity
Veracity vs. Scrupulosity
When one speaks and then corrects
As in, "All were there, or at least some"
And again and again with every statement
And again with every sentence
Than with constant correcting we will bore the audience
Rather use Veracity, who speaks as she knows
Says "Some were there" rather than "All were there"
But doesn't keep correcting exaggerations unwisely made
Say the truth, not exaggerated truth,
And If you try to make it better by correcting
Why you'll drive your poor listener crazy
One correction is okay, but please not more so
When your friend or person speaks, do not constantly correct
Scrupulosity is trying, and mainly leads to fights
When your friend proposes one, don't contradict with two
Though Scrupulosity is a long word, it creates short friendships
If there is four broken teacups, out of the sixteen in your sink
Don't say that their all broken, that's Generalization
You're messing with the facts, and it leads to confusion
Not to mention if your testifying, it leads to unjust decisions
So please don't generalize, it isn't good to do
Now when papa tells his story's, he does change the facts
Expanding on the little, to make it sound better
He's "Making a Good Story" it isn't terribly bad
(And sometimes it is only because his memories failing)
But it can lead to deception, so watch your mouth
Use Truth and Veracity,
Not Scrupulosity, Generalization, and Exaggeration,
You can "Make Good Stories" but in moderation.
