To Trust
To Trust
The birds of the air
So complicated
So many kinds
And yet your hand can hold them all
And when one little bird does fall
You see the little thing,
And we as children of God
Seem to believe he does not care
We are afraid and do not trust
The Living God who died for us
Can you believe we are so foolish
To disregard his perfect promise
To ignore the possibility of paradise
That sits before our very eyes.
We do not trust, that he speaks truth
When in reality he is truth
When he is the beginning of all truth
Why are we so foolish
To distrust his perfect word
And despise his life
Given as a sacrifice for us
And still say that he does not care
How can we not trust
The Living God who died for us
The birds of the air
So complicated
So many kinds
And yet your hand can hold them all
And when one little bird does fall
You see the little thing,
And we as children of God
Seem to believe he does not care
We are afraid and do not trust
The Living God who died for us
Can you believe we are so foolish
To disregard his perfect promise
To ignore the possibility of paradise
That sits before our very eyes.
We do not trust, that he speaks truth
When in reality he is truth
When he is the beginning of all truth
Why are we so foolish
To distrust his perfect word
And despise his life
Given as a sacrifice for us
And still say that he does not care
How can we not trust
The Living God who died for us
