Pride and Prejudice Letters to Grandmama

Dear Grandmama,
Much has happened in the past few weeks.  Jane has finally been made well enough that we could return home.  We had been at Mr. Bingley's house for a little less than a week.  Mr. Darcy, has been acting quite strangely, however I put very little thought to it.   However, on the last day that I was staying there,  he spoke not more than ten words and did not bid me goodbye.  (No matter in that though)  A few days later, when the us girls were out, Lydia and Kitty caught sight of Mr. Wickham, and (Oh the fools!) thinking him handsome, they followed him and until they found out who he was and that he is part of the Marshallry.  They promptly though he is amazing and introduced themselves to him! As they were walking with him they came across Mr. Darcy, who was with Mr. Bingley.  I saw (As I was standing in between the two pairs) them see each an extraordinary change appeared, one turned red, and the other white!  Mr Wickham made a half-hearted bow, and Mr. Darcy barely nodded his head.  I later confided this unnatural occurrence to Jane, and though Jane usually would see them both in the best light, she could see no explanation for the incident.   I wonder what that was? Maybe you could tell me your thoughts.  I miss you!
Elizabeth
